“Kings Dolphin Cruises & Eco Tours is investing approximately $10million in a state of the art new small ship that will be ready for summer sailings late 2009.

This new small ship with feature 30 queen state room on two decks, all of them with full sized ensuites and sea views. Room can also be configured to twin singles.

Two other decks will include a sundeck and a 70 seat restaurant with indoor/outdoor dinning and bar.

When the ship anchors at sea, small boats can ferry passengers to and from nearby island to enjoy snorkelling, swimming and kayaking.

The catamaran, designed to cruise at 12 knots per hour with maximum stability and minimum wake, will be 46 metres (around 150 feet) long with a hull depth of 1.4 metres.

Doubling as a self contained conference facility, able to accommodate 70 people, the small ship will be able to sail to different parts of New Zealand offering marine based conference accommodation, catering and presentation spaces.”
