The couple currently run 750 laying hens, with pullets arriving in three to four times a year. What began five years ago as a small enterprise to supplement the family income on their small block of land at Kaikohe is expanding into a major family business. Robyn’s sister and family have recently bought 600 chooks for their farm at Towai to boost production. The eggs will be marketed under the Robyn's Nest Free Range Eggs brand.
