Galleria Bed & Breakfast

This is a charming home where early morning sunshine spills into the dining room and terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast while looking across the harbour to the picturesque Motiti Island. Surround yourself with original artworks in The “Puriri Room” which has a very romantic ambience, a 4 poster bed and ensuite with claw foot bath and private terrace.  The smaller “Mandarin Room” has a French Antique bed under exotic netting.

Louisa Geddes

As well as being a hospitable and memorable host, Louisa is a practicing and exhibiting Australian artist.  Guests may view her artworks at the Geddes Gallery situated in the “old Fell boat sheds” at the bottom of the garden.  During the workshop in her studio, Louisa will guide you in the tricks and techniques of watercolour painting.  Materials are included.

Kohukohu

In the Victorian village of Kohukohu you can take a historic walk to view the unspoiled kauri villas perched on the hills overlooking the Hokianga Harbour. Kohukohu is now the hub of the Hokianga’s contemporary art scene – a friendly village of artisans with galleries, craft shop, and The Waterline Licensed Café, a special dining venue on the harbourside.
