Tealmere Grove B&B is a peaceful and quiet home purpose-built as a B&B.
The private gardens and adjacent nature reserve make this a great spot to relax and its location means you can base yourself here for day trips to many of the must do activities in Northland.
There are two main guest rooms with ensuites and sliding doors opening onto a large private patio and garden. There is also a third room with twin single beds and a private guest bathroom.  All the rooms have a fridge and tea/coffee-facilities as well as the essentials. For a treat the en-suites have under floor heating and the King room has a bath.

Dinner at Tealmere

Your host Anna will cook you a top quality three course dinner accompanied by New Zealand wine or a non-alcoholic beverage.
Made with spray free seasonal local ingredients some from as local as the small organic garden on the property.
Anna can cater to a number of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals.
Tell Anna what you would like and she will try to oblige. Dinner usually consists of soup, a salad and a Chicken Curry. For dessert a homemade Apple Pie, perhaps with homemade ice cream with no sugar and no fat, just frozen fruit that tastes delicious with maple syrup.

In the area

Tealmere Grove is the closest accommodation to Barge Park and the Whangarei Museum & Kiwi House Heritage Park. Located only 10 minutes from the centre of Whangarei and 25 minutes from the white beaches of the Tutukaka Coast, which is a diving Mecca including the Poor Knights Islands. This is an ideal spot for day trips to the famous Kauri Forests or for swimming with the Dolphins as the Bay of Islands is only 60 minutes away.
There are many attractions in the area including the world famous Lion man at Zion Wildlife Gardens, the world’s biggest sea cave at the Poor Knights Islands and walking tracks galore with exceptional views including the must see Whangarei Falls.
