We are making some changes within the Regional Promotions & Tourism team at Northland Inc. so we can better deliver our regional promotion programme. We’ll be advertising for a Content Manager on Seek later this week; that person will be working organisation-wide to populate our website and social media channels along with managing image shoots, collateral and PR activity. We look forward to announcing who will join our team in the next month
New Zealand Lions Series Tour 2017 NZ Rugby visited Whangarei on 10 August to touch base and update on planning for the New Zealand Lions Series Tour 2017.
Discussion centred not only on planning for the first game on the tour in Whangarei on 3 June, but also on the opportunities for all of Northland towards the end of the tour. The period before and after the third test in Auckland on 8 July is when most international supporters will be in the country, estimated to be around 22,000 at that time. Mataariki is emerging as a key theme for events around the tour.
Already we are getting reports of high demand for Northland accommodation around this time, and NINC is currently focused on educating the British tour operators on itinerary development during the series, to maximise Northland's profile.
Our Tactical Marketing Plan (to June 2017) is now up on our website and includes:
Until next time, Paul, Karly and Sarah Northland Inc - Regional Promotions & Tourism
