A festival of fun for all the family commemorating the Battle of Kororareka.

This is a great day out with kapa haka performance, arts & crafts and traditional maori kai (food).  To pre-order your hangi meal, contact Haratu on 09 403 7212.

Fun events include the Hone Heke Run, a light hearted race from the Russell waterfront, up to the famous flagstaff on Maiki Hill and back to Haratu (former DOC building) on the Russell Waterfront.  If you have a dog, why not enter the Best Dressed Dog competition, or kids, enter the Beauty Pagent.
