Over 70 professional national and international artists from all disciplines will come together for a week to share skills and ideas and work in collaboration to produce works of art. In this internationally recognised event artists have the opportunity to expand and push their technical knowledge, creative thinking & cultural experiences and learn from each other.
There are no hierarchies or rules in this event. What occurs is an across the board visual arts/crafts learning platform of high intensity. This has resulted in many new and found techniques now visible through the participating artists’ subsequent art works.
All participants will be able to use the resource equipment and materials available to collaborate with expert national and international resource artists.
At the culminating art auction held in Whangarei all created artworks are offered at “no reserve” to the general public.
CollaboratioNZ is a registered charitable trust established in 1998.
