Popular live modern jazz from Northland’s cruiziest New York style modern jazz band. The ‘About Time’ Jazz Trio, is playing every Friday at the 15th at the Butter Factory.

Butter Factory venue is a classy historical brick heritage building on Butter Factory Lane behind Farmers.  It’s the downstairs wine bar, not Butter Bank which is upstairs on Bank Street (down from the Court House) just past the traffic lights Bank and Rathbone St in Whangarei.

Meet the band - all jazz inspired family guys from near Whangarei with years of passion for interesting jazz - Matt Hennessy on soft boom and bash; Matt Watson acoustic and electronic keyboards, trumpet, flugelhorn; and John Fraser on electric and stand up bass. Yes, they all have techie type day jobs so music is a creative break.
