Finding Work

So here’s the thing - times are tough everywhere as far as jobs go but there are still some pretty nice opportunities in Northland and things are feeling a whole lot better now.

Less Stress

Northland offers you a less stressed working environment with the time to enjoy our incredible region. And we are just two hours from Auckland, the gateway to the world from New Zealand, making all sorts of commuting options viable.

But Motivated and Ambitious

Our engineering and boatbuilding centres need a range of trades people like fitters, welders and fabricators. Our petrochemical sector needs engineers from entry level to engineering professionals with a background in continuous process.

Our construction industry needs civil engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers and draughtspeople. We need amazing people to work in the health sector, from anesthetists and radiologists to nurses and technicians.

Work is also to be found in services such as retail and hospitality, professional services such as law and accountancy. How about the education, IT and power sectors? We're keen to talk to you!

The primary sector employs close to 20% of the workforce in industries such as agriculture, horticulture, forestry and fishing. Another 20% are employed in the manufacturing sector, including woodprocessing and marine engineering, and construction.
