International Education

Students from around the globe are coming to Northland for education.

Northland's climate is enviable, with warm, lingering summers and milder winters, meaning students can enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle year round. With schools located in the main city of Whangārei, near the coast, in towns or in rural heartland, those who come to Northland to study have a range of stunning locations to settle in.

Education providers include smaller, high achieving schools with a friendly atmosphere, larger schools with extensive modern facilities in the more populated areas of Whangārei and Kerikeri, and choices in private education.

NorthTec is the region’s largest tertiary education provider, covering a multitude of subjects and offering over 100 courses. NorthTec is government-owned and works closely with local and national employers providing practical, quality training leading to an internationally-recognised qualification at several campuses across the region.
