As the Economic Development Agency for the Northland region, Northland Inc is working in tandem with the Government to ensure businesses receive practical advice and support as they tackle the impacts of COVID-19.

Northland Inc has a team of Business Growth Advisors who will offer additional advisory support and are here to provide full access to the national support available for businesses through the Regional Business Partner Network.

Northland Inc will also collect regional information on issues and impacts of Covid-19 to share with the Government so appropriate responses can be developed.

Regional Business Partner Network Funding - Current Status

Last week, it was announced by the RBP head office that the national demand for the Covid-19 Business Advisory Fund had met the allocation available. We now turn our focus to the Management Capability Development Fund instead.

The Covid-19 Business Advisory Fund was limited and had been targeted at businesses seeking initial advice during Alert Levels 4-3.

In Northland, we distributed more than $509,000 in Covid-19 support vouchers.

While we await a decision by the Government on the additional Covid-19 funding, we are still encouraging and welcoming further new RBP registrations from businesses looking for ongoing business support.

Our Business Growth Advisors can support businesses in other ways including:

  • Access to the Management Capability Development Fund which offers businesses 50% co-funded support for coaching and training services that are designed to support the growth of in-house capability in the business
  • A free consultation to help identify key focus areas, provide general advice, a listening ear and support businesses navigate to find the right support and networks.
  • Free webinars tailored to specific business needs; click here to view webinars available.
