The Bay of Islands Walking Weekend is based out of Russell in the stunning Bay of Islands. Over 3 days with 18 walks to choose from. This weekend is truly unique and all the walks are magic, a few highlights are walks over private land you can only do on this weekend, stunning vineyards, island walks made affordable and accessible, and overnight walks - one at the ‘must do’ Cape Brett and the other on the iconic tall ship – The R Tucker Thompson. The weekend is now famous not only for the beauty of the bay and cultural and historic elements that are unique to this part of the world, but for the local guides who are all passionate and knowledgeable about the area.
The walks are based from the walking headquarters in Russell where people can meet, chat about their day and have something to eat and drink and you will also find entertainment and competitions throughout the weekend.
Russell is a fantastic base for the weekend with lots of great restaurants, places to stay and for non-walkers out there things to do.
