CONTESTABLE EVENTS FUND
The Regional Events Fund was first introduced to Te Tai Tokerau in 2021 and provided an exciting opportunity for events in Taitokerau Northland.
Northland Inc was charged with delivering the Ministry for Business and Innovation (MBIE) Regional Events Fund into the Taitokerau Northland region in a way that drove visitation through investment in innovative and sustainable events. Events were selected for support based on their positive impact on the local economic landscape and being able to offer new and exciting experiences within the region.
Northland Inc. worked collaboratively with the events industry to manage the fund over a 3 year period to support the sustainable growth of events within Northland and enhance the quality of peoples’ lives via event participation and affiliated social initiatives.
The final round of funding was delivered in 2025.
