The Mahinga Innovation Centre is located at the new Ngawha Innovation and Enterprise Park on the outskirts of Kaikohe. Our Northland Inc team is managing the new centre which is designed to bring organisations and businesses together in a modern space where they can share knowledge, resources and create networks to generate growth.
Co-working spaces are available in this area inside the Mahinga Innovation Centre.

Development of the Mahinga Innovation Centre is complete at the Ngawha Innovation and Enterprise Park in Kaikohe. An official opening was held on 13 June, 2023 and co-working and meeting spaces are now open for business. Permanent and part-time co-working desks, plus meeting rooms are available now for hire.

The modern and spacious Mahinga Innovation Centre will have everything you need to provide a base for your business in the mid-North without the hassle of setting up a dedicated office.
Facilities available include:
- Hot desk space for hire - full-time, part-time and casual rates available
- Dedicated front of house staff to meet and greet your clients
- Bookable video conferencing facilities
- Meeting rooms available for hire
- Kitchen and stationary facilities (printing, photocopying) available
- Flo's Cafe - An on-site cafe with a relaxing rural view, great coffee (Catering options also available).

how to find us
The entrance to the Ngawha Innovation & Enterprise Park is off SH 12 just north of Ngawha Springs Road. Follow the paved road through the trees and the first building you see on the right, is the Mahinga Innovation Centre. Parking can be found both in front and behind the centre.

Mahinga Innovation Centre In Action
Whāriki Te Tai Tokerau, along with representatives from Amotai, Te Hiringa, BDO, Poutama, NorthChamber, Ministry of Social Development and Te Puni Kōkiri, recently held their Kaikohe business support drop in event at the Mahinga Innovation Centre.
Māori pakihi engaged in kōrero kanohi ki te kanohi with representatives from all of these organisations to gain tailored assistance for funding, advice, support, and to discover opportunities for them to future-proof their businesses.
The centre provided a great location with plenty of parking, awesome kai and modern meeting rooms and spaces for kōrero.
